Actor Viineet Kumar Siingh, known for his powerful performances in films like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Ugly’, and ‘Chhaava’, has just stepped into a new and very personal role; fatherhood. On July 24, 2025, Viineet and his wife Ruchira were blessed with a baby boy.

While Viineet Kumar Siingh is enjoying great success in his professional life, it’s clear that becoming a father is the highlight of his year. His newest web series ‘Rangeen’ is receiving high praise from audiences and critics alike. Viineet plays Adarsh, a man whose life turns upside down as he goes through a personal crisis that forces him to confront deep questions about love, marriage, masculinity, and emotional connection.
In earlier interviews, Viineet had opened up about the inspiration behind ‘Rangeen’. He spoke about how society today needs emotional education just as much as academic or professional training.
“We’re taught how to drive, work, and build careers, but not how to communicate or connect emotionally with our partners,” he said. “Many people don’t know how to face relationship challenges, so they walk away instead of trying to fix things. Earlier, conversations around love, marriage, or boyfriend-girlfriend dynamics were seen as taboo. Now, thankfully, that’s changing.”
He added, “Just like our phones and apps need updates, we too need to evolve. We must learn and grow with changing times. Only then can we build stronger relationships and a better society.”
‘Rangeen’ follows the story of Adarsh, a seemingly average man stuck in a routine marriage. But things change when unexpected events push him to explore parts of himself he had never acknowledged. As he searches for truth and meaning, he faces difficult questions about morality, ego, and the bonds we often take for granted.
The series also stars Rajashri Deshpande, Taaruk Raina, and Sheeba Chaddha, and is streaming on Prime Video.
